StateMod is a monthly and daily surface water allocation and accounting model capable of simulating various historical and future water management policies in a river basin.
Major Features:
- Simulates stream diversions, in-stream demands, well pumping and recharge, reservoir operations, augmentation plans, and river flows, while accounting for water rights administration
- Applies to any river basin through appropriate input data preparation
- Includes graphical user interface (GUI) to view and edit data sets
- Baseline data sets for StateMod developed using StateDMI, TSTool, and standard procedures are available in the Modeling Data section
Common Uses:
- Model a stream system by accounting for both physical river flow and water rights operations (diversions, well pumping, reservoirs, in-stream flow demands, etc.)
- Evaluate the impacts of a change to a baseline data set
